What Are the Signs of Needed Radiator Repair?
Watch These Warning Signs Indicating a Needed Radiator Repair:
1. The first sign for radiator service is that your radiator is discolored with rust spots. You will notice this when you have the hood of your car open. It means that some of the radiator fluid has leaked or splashed onto the radiator. The engine could have overheated so the liquid would have came from the engine. When this liquid evaporates, it is going to leave behind a burnt spot. This spot will turn to rust if not taken care of.
2. The second sign for radiator service is that the coolant fluid is low. This could be caused by leaking. You could see slimy green liquid in your driveway. Clean it up as soon as you see it because the sweet smell is attractive to wildlife and pets, and can be deadly. It could also mean that the liquid is being evaporated somewhere inside of the engine. Either way, it shows that there is a fault in your system. If the coolant level is too low, it will more than likely overheat, so be sure to have it checked out as soon as possible.
Remember: If your car is overheating, stop driving immediately and call a tow truck. If you keep driving, it will cause further damage and burn-out your motor.
