What is Reseal Service?
An automatic may develop a leak but will operate fine in all other aspects. For this, a reseal service is the best transmission repair. It includes:
- Removing your automatic transmission
- Replacing all the external seals (usually requires partial disassemble).
- Reinstallation back into the car.
During the required disassembly to replace the seals, the technician can verify whether or not other internal components are in good shape and address any other problems. After the transmission is filled with new fluid and any necessary adjustments are made, it should be road-tested to ensure proper operation.
